Hotel Pfosl

The good old days.. I have been staying at this hotel since 2008 quite on regular basis I would say, mostly during the Christmas and Easter Holidays. Recently, Pfösl has undergone heavy restoration works and has become a rather exclusive place, a bit more than it used to be. The service and the cousine are outstanding and the amenities which you have at your disposal, well deserve the price paid. That said, Pfösl has undoubtedly become wider and indeed very spacious with much more to offer and to do and so better by all means and yet, to us, the old flavour it had once I think is lost forever. The warmth of candles has been replaced by a set of lights which make the candle lights useless, the exquisite courtesy of the owners who often used to pass by at your table and exchange some chat with you about the odds and ends and of course to have feedback of your stay, has been replaced by the efficiency of a well trained and polite staff. My kids called Pfosl our 'house hotel'. They were close friends to Lia, the Zelgers' family dog that passed away some years ago now. She was the Queen of the place, sleeping soundly by the main entrance and welcoming all guests with her doggy polite language. Time passes, that's invetable and yet for some things we would like it did not and we would have liked to come back to our 'house hotel' and not to a standard 4 stars S hotel. Of these you have many to choose from, but the magic of Pfösl was and will be hard to find.
